Designing for Lucknow
The climate sets the details.
We do not use a city wind figure off a list. The design wind pressure for your structure is worked out for the exact site under IS 875 (Part 3), from its terrain, height and exposure.
Hot from April to June, into the mid-40s °C.
Monsoon from July to September, in heavy spells.
Winter fog in December and January, and smog through the cold months.

- Indo-Gangetic alluvium, generally good to build on. Isolated footings to IS 456, sized for uplift rather than weight.

- Wind uplift worked out for the site, with drainage sized for monsoon spells.

- PVDF-lacquered PVC, which sheds smog and dust and largely rinses clean in rain.
