Ferrari Fabric is the tensile architecture brand of Ekra Decor Pvt. Ltd. We design, engineer, fabricate and install every structure ourselves.

A tensile roof weighs a fraction of concrete or sheet steel, spans far further without columns, and lets daylight through. We have spent more than twenty-five years learning how to build them well.
The group was founded in 1998 in New Delhi, near IGI Airport, and has since built membrane structures for airports, carmakers, power utilities, schools, hotels and housing developers in more than 36 cities.
Every structure uses architectural membranes from European mills such as Serge Ferrari, Mehler and Heytex, the same suppliers used on tensile projects worldwide. Survey, engineering, patterning, welding, steelwork and installation all stay with our own team.

How we work
Eight stages. None subcontracted.
- 01
Site survey
Measurements, levels, access, the ground and what the space underneath is used for.
- 02
Wind-load analysis
Design wind pressure for the site under IS 875 (Part 3). On a light roof, the wind decides the steel.
- 03
Form-finding
The membrane is shaped first in 3D CAD so it is doubly curved, tight and self-draining.
- 04
Patterning
The 3D surface is cut into flat panels, oriented to the weave of the fabric.
- 05
Fabric welding
Panels are joined with high-frequency welding in our own workshop, not stitched.
- 06
Steel fabrication
Masts, frames and fittings are fabricated and galvanised to the calculation.
- 07
Tensioning on site
Our crews erect the steel, lift the membrane and bring it to its design pre-stress.
- 08
Handover and care
As-built drawings, certificates and a maintenance schedule, then inspections for the life of the roof.
