Designing for Manesar

The climate sets the details.

We do not use a city wind figure off a list. The design wind pressure for your structure is worked out for the exact site under IS 875 (Part 3), from its terrain, height and exposure.

  • Delhi NCR climate: mid-40s °C summers and dust-laden winds.

  • Monsoon from July to September in short, intense spells.

  • Winter smog and dense fog, but no snow.

Ground
Indo-Gangetic alluvium. Footings sized against uplift and overturning, not just gravity.
What drives the design
Uplift and overturning, which govern cantilever car-park canopies in particular.
Membrane
PVDF-lacquered PVC, which resists dust and smog and largely self-cleans in rain.
